NatureHike

A 4.5 km nature trail at Furunäs on the north side of the Hanko peninsula, with a hazel grove, a natural beach and a lean-to with a fireplace.

Peikonpolku, or Trollstigen in Swedish ("the troll path"), runs through Furunäs on the north side of the Hanko peninsula, about 6 km from the town centre. Along the way are a hazel grove, a natural beach and a range of other forest and shore habitats. Out on the tip of Furunäs there is a lean-to shelter with a fireplace and a toilet.

Good to know

  • Length: about 4.5 km.
  • Terrain: Varied, over roots and rock. The path can be slippery and hard going in wet weather, so wear sturdy shoes or boots. The path and the lean-to are not accessible.
