The Högholmen nature trail leads through pine forest and over sand dunes out to tall cliffs overlooking the Baltic Sea. Along the way are sandy beaches, dunes and underwater sandbanks, and 12 information boards explain what makes the area special. Högholmen is a private nature reserve, and the trail is maintained by the town of Hanko.

Good to know

  • Length: about 1 km.
  • Getting there: The trail starts on Tvärminnentie (Tvärminnevägen), about 10 km from Hanko town centre and about 4 km east of the turn-off to Täktom airfield. There is parking by the road, and the trail is signposted.
  • The nature here is fragile, so please stay on the marked trail.
